Here is how to upload and download your files to and from your Reactable mobile.

iOS
Three types of files can be used in the application:
- reactable patches (.rtp)
- audio files, 44.1 kHz, 16 bits, stereo or mono (.wav)
- image files (.png, .jpg, .bmp, .tga)
Important: sound files should be 16 bits WAV files.
There are two options to exchange file with the Reactable mobile application:
Using iTunes File Sharing
- Connect your device to your machine and start iTunes
- In the left column of iTunes, select your device
- In the main page of the device, select the "Apps" Tab
- At the bottom of this page, after the list of applications, you will find a "File Sharing" section.
- Select the Reactable application.
- You can now drag and drop files from and to the Documents of your device
Using the built-in web server
- Make sure your device is connected to Internet and that the connection is active (for instance, check the weather).
- From the configuration menu, go to the settings page. The first line lets you start the web server.
- On your computer, connect to the url indicated on the settings page. It should look like "http://192.168.1.X:34748"
- The web page lets you upload and download sound files and session files to or from the device.
Creating content bundles
Once you have created a table preset and you want to share it, you can create a bundle which includes your soundfiles and the table preset.
Here is how to do it:
- Connect your device to your computer and open iTunes
- Create a folder on the Desktop of your computer (for example)
- Copy the files needed for your table preset into this folders. This would be the .rtp file and all soundfiles .wav you used in your table preset.
- Compress the folder (make a zip file).
- Change the extension of your zip file to .rtp (this way Safari will recognize it as a Reactable table).
- Upload it to Share your music section on the Reactable mobile forum.
Android
Uploading loops
- Connect your device to your computer and open the sdcard
- Look for the Samples folder inside com.reactable
- Upload your loops there, you can create as many folders as you want to organize them
- Once you are done be sure to safely remove the device from the computer and disconnect it from the android usb settings before starting the application again
Sharing sessions
- Press the menu button
- Select tables
- Long-hold press on the table you want to export
- In the contextual menu, press Export
- Connect your device to your computer and open the sdcard
- Look for the Export folder inside com.reactable
- Your exported session will be there with .rtp extension and will contain all the samples you are using, copy it to your computer
- Upload the rtp to the reactable forum
- Once you are done be sure to safely remove the device from the computer and disconnect it from the android usb settings before starting the application again
Downloading sessions from the web
- Press the menu button
- Select tables
- Press the download tables option
- Download the table from the web
- Once the table is downloaded open the notifications panel and press on the finished download
- If it asks you select to open the rtp with Reactable
