How to add the widget on your home screen
- Go to the home screen (tap the home button on your phone)
- Make sure that the home screen has enough space to hold the widget (4x1, 4x2, 4x3, etc)
- Tap and hold on an empty space on your home screen until a menu appears
- Choose Widgets from the list or menu
- Find the widget you want to add and select it (if selecting it does not work, tap and hold, then drag and drop on your home screen)
Widget hotspots
The widget contains several hot spots, ie, points that perform an action when the user taps/clicks them. The following image shows the widget hotspots:
Please note that hotspots 9 and 10 apply only to widgets that display the daily or hourly forecast at the bottom:
- Hotspot 1: Minutes (see note * below)
- Hotspot 2: Hour (see note * below)
- Hotspot 3: Weather icon
- Hotspot 4: Current temperature
- Hotspot 5: Current date (see note * below)
- Hotspot 6: Wifi icon
- Hotspot 7: Location change hotspot
- Hotspot 8: Battery information
- Hotspot 9: Daily/hourly forecast (only for 4x2 or 4x3 widgets that show daily or hourly forecast)
- Hotspot 10: Daily to hourly and hourly to daily weather forecast toggle
- Hotspot 11: Next event information
- Hotspot 12: Moon forecast
* You can change the default action for hot spots 1, 2 and 5.
To do that, go to settings, Advanced settings, un-check the Default [hot spot] action option and click on Choose [hot spot] click action select the application to launch.
The actions performed when the hotspots are tapped (clicked) are the following:
- Minutes hotspot: Open application settings
- Hour hotspot: Launch the default alarm application
- Weather icon hotspot: Display detailed weather forecast
- Current temperature: Request weather update
- Launch default calendar application
- Launch WiFi settings
- Change location (display weather and time for the next location, if you have added more than one locations)
- Display battery information
- Launch daily or hourly forecast (depending on what type of forecast is displayed on the widget)
- Change between daily and hourly weather forecast (if hourly change to daily, if daily change to hourly)
- Display full information for the currently displayed event with the default calendar application
- Launch the moon forecast

Application and widget settings
To access the application or widget settings tap the minutes on the widget (if you are using one) or open the weather forecast page (by tapping the application icon) and select menu and then Settings. Settings are devided into different categories in order to make it simpler to find what you are looking for.
To manage location or weather settings (for example change the temperature degrees from Fahrenheit to Celsius) go to settings, Weather & loction settings.
Information displayed on the widget
Note about the next event display
If the Display next event option is checked (under settings, Time & date settings) the next event from your Google calendar (or any calendar linked to any of the existing accounts on your device) will be displayed. In case there are more than one events on a given date, the widget will display an asterisk next to the event information. This is to notify you about this fact. If you want to see all of the events you have to go to your calendar application.
Note about the alarm application!
If the hour hotspot (hotspot #2) does not work on your phone, (i.e., tapping it does not launch your the alarm application) you can select the alarm application (or any other application you want to launch when the hour is clicked) by doing the following:
- Tap the minutes (hotspot #1) to go to the Settings
- Select Advanced settings
- Un-check the Default hour action checkbox
- Choose Select hour click action and wait for installed applications to load
- Locate the application you want to launch and select it
- Press the Home or Back button to return to your home screen
Note about task killers
If you have a task killer application installed on your device, exlude the widget from its auto-kill list (or add it to its 'White' list), otherwise the widget will stop updating the time and other information.
Rating the application
If you like the application you can leave a rating and comment by doing the following:
- Open the Google Play application
- Choose My Apps and locate the Transparent Clock & Weather widget
- Select the stars located under the 'My review' heading to rate the application
- Once you have rated the application you will have the option to leave a comment
